Employability Skills

The Employability Skills Program offers a unique world of learning experiences to students who want to participate in team learning experiences leading to the world of work.  Areas of focus include entry-level job skills, improving customer service and building healthy relationships with co-workers.
Students from all five high schools who want to experience life at the Tech Center but feel they may not be ready for the commitment of a “full tech” program may enjoy the chance to come to FTC and work on real life job skills in a variety of areas.  Currently units in food service, commercial baking, car detailing, and horticulture are being taught.  Curriculum and units will follow a pattern of interest, marketability, and the jobs available within the community.
